I spent the day with Vonna.

We went and saw “Hidalgo” in the theatre. I’d say it was a good film. Very good, actually. I was watching it and realized the story is “The Hero’s Journey.” We’ve been studying it in block, and I was able to pick apart “Hidalgo,” and find all the literary elements present in any “hero” story. You can’t just simply enjoy a movie anymore.

“Hidalgo” is the horse’s name, if anyone was wondering. And I’d call it an Arabian Western. Which makes it unique and interesting to any other western. Ha ha: That reminded me of “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The guy says, “If you gotta shoot; just shoot. Don’t talk.” Or something like that.

I had such a fun day, and you’d think it’d end in high spirits, but I feel sad right now. I guess I’ll just go to bed.
